Captain Cook 1770 Festival is held annually in May.  Not only do they sponsor this event but Gordon has been on the Festival Committee for many years, several of which he was the site manager for the whole event.  The Harcourts Agnes Water – 1770 team are also the Auctioneers for the Charity Auction held over the weekend.  The Harcourts team volunteer their time in other areas of the Captain Cook 1770 Festival too, such as the Parade and the Youth Tent.

Reef2Beach Longboard Classic is held annually in March. It is a surf competition enjoyed by men and women of all ages. It first started in 1999 when a group of locals saw the need for a surf event of its kind. It is now recognised internationally by the industry and is a great local event.

Agnes Water Surf Club is currently building a new surf clubhouse. The club is very family orientated and the nippers regularly maintain Sunday morning and school holiday patrols. New members are welcome.

Agnes Water State School Parents & Citizens Associations meet in the school staffroom on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm. Membership is open to all parents and community members.

1770 Bowls Club are a very welcoming group to locals and visitors alike. They're open for games on Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday from 12:30 to 4:00pm. If you're new to bowls, someone will be more than happy to show you how it's done.
